In 2013, a 68-year-old male had a pancreaticoduodenectomy for pancreatic cancer. The pancreaticojejunostomy was sealed with cyanoacrylate (Dermabond) to prevent postoperative pancreatic fistula. Local recurrence of malignancy at the anastomosis was suspected 18 months later in PET/CT. Surgical revision was performed and anastomosis resected. However, histology showed no tumor recurrence, but strong inflammation and foreign-body reaction towards Dermabond. The sealant caused false-positive PET/CT findings, so its use in oncologic surgery should be abandoned.

Background: Prostate biopsy is the most common approach for diagnosing prostate cancer (PCa); however, it has inherent limitations, such as the invasive procedure, postoperative complications, and false negative results. We aimed to provide a noninvasive diagnostic strategy for patients with highly suspected PCa and to evaluate the feasibility of performing biopsy-spared radical prostatectomy.
Methods: This prospective study included a total of 57 patients between November 10, 2022, and December 1, 2023.

A 62-year-old man, previously treated for oral cavity carcinoma, presented with new-onset cognitive-motor symptoms. Brain MRI revealed a periventricular, avidly enhancing lesion in the right anterior basal ganglia and hypothalamus suspicious for a brain tumor, particularly CNS lymphoma. 18F-FDG brain PET/CT showed corresponding uptake suggestive of primary brain tumor, lymphoma, or metastasis.

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths globally. Despite recent improvements in incidence and mortality rates, the prognosis of lung cancer remains dire.F-FDG PET/CT plays a vital role in diagnosing, staging, and monitoring the therapeutic efficacy of lung cancer.

Synovial herniation pit, also known as Pitt's pit, is a benign osseous lesion incidentally seen on imaging studies. Most of them will not show FDG uptake, but some herniation pits could show intense FDG uptake on PET/CT scans mimicking osseous metastasis. Here we report a case of synovial herniation pit in a patient with T-cell lymphoma through 8-year trajectory of FDG PET/CT scans, revealing its changing FDG uptake in relation to chemotherapy and final outcome.

To compare the diagnostic value of [F]AlF-LNC1007, [F]FDG, and [F]AlF-NOTA-FAPI-04 PET/CT in breast cancer. 33 patients with highly suspected or already diagnosed but untreated breast cancer were enrolled in the study and underwent [F]AlF-LNC1007 (30 patients), [F]FDG (22 patients), and [F]AlF-NOTA-FAPI-04 (8 patients) PET/CT. Quantitative measurements included the SUV and tumor-to-background ratio (TBR) for all lesions and background tissues.
