Objectives: We examined use of e-cigarettes and views toward their use in public.

Methods: An online survey of US adults aged 18-24 (N = 874) was used. Measures included tobacco/e-cigarette use, acceptability of public cigarette/e-cigarette use, intention to use e-cigarettes, attitudes and norms.

Results: There was greater acceptance of public e-cigarette use than cigarettes. A path model revealed that attitudes and norms concerning e-cigarettes predicted the use of e-cigarettes beyond the effect of smoking. Attitudes also were shown to predict intention for future e-cigarette use above the effect of current and past smoking, and to predict acceptability of public use of e-cigarettes.

Conclusions: Normative acceptance of e-smoking in public may contribute to the wider adoption of e-cigarettes.

Objective: To study the heterogeneity and influencing factors of self-acceptance of drug addicts in compulsory isolation in 2 drug rehabilitation centers in Sichuan Province, and to analyze the effects of different types of self-acceptance on subthreshold depression in drug addicts, in order to provide useful references for improving their mental health.

Methods: Self-acceptance Questionnaire (SAQ), Drug use Stereotype Threat Scale(DSTS) and Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale(CES-D) were used to conduct a questionnaire survey in January 2024 on 1068 drug addicts in two compulsory isolation drug rehabilitation centers in Sichuan Province.

Results: Drug addicts self-acceptance can be categorized into 5 potential categories; men were more likely than women to show lower self-acceptance in the 'low-low'(β = 0.

Background: Group housing of sows has been extensively studied since the EU banned gestation crating. Well-managed group-housing promotes sow welfare, but the impact varies based on factors such as feeding, group characteristics, and environmental features. Adequate floor space, particularly directly post-mixing, is crucial for social interactions, natural behaviours, and to reduce injuries caused by aggression.

Background: Changes in amyloid beta (Aβ) and phosphorylated tau brain levels are known to affect brain network organization but very little is known about how plasma markers can relate to these measures. We aimed to address the relationship between centrality network changes and two plasma pathology markers: phosphorylated tau at threonine 231 (p-tau231), a proxy for early Aβ change, and neurofilament light chain (Nfl), a marker of axonal degeneration.

Methods: One hundred and four cognitively unimpaired individuals were divided into a high pathology load (33 individuals; HP) group and a low pathology (71 individuals; LP) one.

Avian coccidiosis is one of the many disorders that seriously harm birds' digestive systems. Nowadays the light is shed on using Phytochemical/herbal medicines as alternative natural anti-coccidial chemical-free standards. Consequently, this study aimed to investigate the impact of lawsonia inermis powder (LIP), and Acacia nilotica aqueous extract (ANAE), on growth performance, serum biochemical, antioxidant status, cytokine biomarkers, total oocyst count and intestinal histopathology of broiler chickens challenged with coccidiosis.
