Removal of the buccal fat pad can be considered safe as long as there is a detailed analysis of anatomical landmarks. The objective of this study was to estimate the prevalence of intra- and postoperative complications resulting from buccal fat pad removal through a systematic review. The search strategy involved observational and/or interventional studies in humans that included at least one case of buccal fat pad removal with a description of the surgery, postoperative progress, and complications.

Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the comparative effectiveness of transorbital sonography (TOS) and the pupillary penlight visual assessment method in patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and periorbital hematoma.
Methods: A total of 140 patients with traumatic brain injury (TBI), meeting the inclusion and exclusion criteria, were selected from a tertiary hospital in Zhejiang Province between January 2022 and December 2023. Pupillary function in all patients was assessed using both TOS and the pupillary penlight visual assessment method on the first, third, and seventh day after admission.

Also, to describe, based on literature, how these autonomic features can affect the treatment outcomes of patients with craniofacial neuralgias. We carried out a literature search using five databases, PubMed, Embase, OVID, Scopus and Web of Science.

Objective: To evaluate research on medical adhesive-related skin injury (MARSI), focusing on its incidence, prevalence, risk factors, causes, assessments, and prevention.
Data Sources: Searches were conducted on Wanfang Data, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, PubMed, Web of Science Core Collection, MEDLINE, EMBASE, and the Cumulative Index of Nursing and Allied Health Literature Plus with Full Text.
Study Selection: Using search terms "medical adhesive related skin injury", "MARSI", "adhesive skin injury", and "medical tape-induced skin injury", the authors selected 43 original articles published between January 1, 2001, and May 12, 2022, in English or Chinese.

This retrospective cohort study comprised patients who presented to a retina specialist at Duke Eye Center between 2014 and 2023 for the management of DR. The quartile of patients with the highest income was compared with the quartile with the lowest income.
