Up to date, there are no self-consistent data in the literature on the temperature dependence of full matrix material properties for piezoelectric materials because they are extremely difficult to determine. Using only one sample, we have measured the temperature dependence of full matrix constants of lead zirconate titanate (PZT-4) from room temperature to 120 °C by resonant ultrasound spectroscopy. Self-consistency is guaranteed here because all data at different temperatures come from one sample. Such temperature dependence data would make it a reality to accurately predict device performance at high temperatures using computer simulations.

In this study, L. extracts were obtained using various green extraction techniques, including supercritical CO, subcritical ethanol, and ultrasound-assisted extraction, each performed under optimized parameters. The phytochemical content of the extracts was analyzed using the LC-MS/MS technique, quantifying 53 phytochemicals.

Molten salts are important in a number of energy applications, but the fundamental mechanisms operating in ionic liquids are poorly understood, particularly at higher temperatures. This is despite their candidacy for deployment in solar cells, next-generation nuclear reactors, and nuclear pyroprocessing. We perform extensive molecular dynamics simulations over a variety of molten chloride salt compositions at varying temperature and pressures to calculate the thermodynamic and transport properties of these liquids.

Among 2-dimensional (2D) non-layered transition-metal chalcogenides (TMCs), cobalt sulfides are highly interesting because of their diverse structural phases and unique properties. The unique magnetic properties of TMCs have generated significant interest in their potential applications in future spintronic devices. In addition, their high conductivity, large specific surface area, and abundant active sites have attracted attention in the field of catalysis.

The ultrashort peptide -fluorenylmethoxycarbonyl-phenylalanyl-phenylalanine (FmocFF) has been largely investigated due to its ability to self-assemble into fibrils (100 nm-μm scale) that can form a sample-spanning gel network. The initiation of the gelation process requires either a solvent switch (water added to dimethyl sulfoxide) or a pH-switch (alkaline to neutral) protocol, both of which ensure the solubility of the peptide as a necessary step preceding gelation. While the respective gel phases are well understood in structural and material characteristics terms the pregelation conditions are known to a lesser extent.

miRNA, a type of endogenous small non-coding RNA, is involved in the response to various environmental stresses through post-transcriptional regulation. In the present study, the role of CgmiR307 in the regulation of oxidative response under high-temperature stress by targeting CgNrf2 was investigated in the Pacific oyster Crassostrea gigas. The binding site of CgmiR307 were predicted at 1,799-1,818 bp in the 3'-UTR of CgNrf2, and the binding activity of CgmiR307 with the mRNA of CgNrf2 was further proved by the dual-luciferase reporter assay.
