Furan-modified poly(butadiene) prepared by the thiol-ene click reaction is crosslinked with bismaleimides through the Diels-Alder reaction, giving rise to a novel recyclable elastomer. This is possible because of the thermal reversibility of the adducts responsible for the formation of the network. The use of this strategy provides the possibility to produce recyclable tires.

This paper presents an experimental study on the elastic support in a discrete rail fastening system used in a ballastless tram track structure. The study focuses on the elastic support of the anchor element, specifically the Pm49 baseplate. These elements significantly influence environmental pollution along tram routes, such as vibration (at low frequencies) or noise (at high frequencies), as well as static and dynamic rail deflections.

This dataset article encompasses a thorough compilation of 80 uniaxial stress-strain datasets obtained from cylindrical rubberized concrete specimens subjected to compression testing. Data collection was meticulously conducted through a systematic review and extraction of stress-strain datasets from 68 rubberized concrete mixtures sourced from diverse literature references, incorporating rubber of different origins, sizes, volumes and characteristics. Additionally, stress-strain data for 48 cylindrical specimens, representing 12 different mixes with various rubber sizes and contents, were obtained from laboratory experiments performed by the author.

Researchers are increasingly concerned about the vast amounts of waste rubber tires produced globally, which contribute significantly to environmental pollution. The potential of incorporating waste rubber tires to modify bitumen has garnered considerable interest. This study assesses pavement design temperatures according to SUPERPAVE standards for representative Malaysian regions.

The large number of tires produced annually demands new recycling methods. A key challenge associated with recycling elastomers is their crosslinking structure that prevents fusion. It is possible to reverse crosslinking through a process called devulcanization.

The world's three leading tire manufacturers have proposed specific timelines for using recycled materials. For instance, Michelin targets an increase in the proportion of sustainable materials in tires to 40 % by 2030 and aims to produce 100 % of its tires from bio-based, renewable, or recyclable materials as of 2050. In such a context, this study introduced wet mixing technology to apply recycled rubber (RR) in highly wear-resistant tire tread compounds.
