Performance assessments for student pharmacists are required by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education to monitor student knowledge, retention, and professional skill sets. Near the end of their Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences (APPEs), fourth-year pharmacy students (P4s) at the University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy must pass a milestone exam (P4ME) to graduate. The P4ME contains four sections: adult medicine, ambulatory care, community, and hospital.

China hosts a large number of international medical students from low-income countries, and some fail examinations in the early stage of the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program. Little is known about how failing international medical students cope to recover their academic performance. It would be beneficial to investigate the coping strategies they use to help them recover their academic performance and progress.

Background: Pharmacogenomics (PGx) is a rapidly growing field which promises to deliver personalized, more effective medications tailored to genetic information. Although the pharmacy profession is expected to lead the translation of pharmacogenomics into widespread clinical implementation, there is a reported lack of preparedness among its members. Assessing pharmacogenomic-related training in Australian pharmacy program curricula may highlight educational gaps and provide guidance for curricula revision.

In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, people over 65 or suffering from certain conditions were deemed at high risk and asked to isolate themselves. This led to the simulated patient (SP) program at the University of Bern being depleted of middle-aged and elderly SP.
