The problem of the morphological stability of an interface in the case of the displacement of one non-Newtonian fluid by another non-Newtonian fluid in a radial Hele-Shaw cell has been considered. Both fluids have been described by the two-parameter Ostwald-de Waele power-law model. The nonzero viscosity of the displacing fluid has been taken into account. A generalized Darcy's law for the system under consideration, as well as an equation for the determination of the critical size of morphological stability with respect to harmonic perturbations (linear analysis), has been derived. Morphological phase diagrams have been constructed, and the region of the parameters in which nonequilibrium reentrant morphological transitions are possible has been revealed.

Bromodomain-containing protein 4 (BRD4) plays a vital role in fibrosis of various organs. However, the underlying mechanism of BRD4 in renal fibrosis remains unclear. To construct in vitro and in vivo models of renal fibrosis, TCMK-1 cells were subjected to TGF-β1 treatment and mice were subjected to UUO surgery and adenine induction.

The purpose of this study is, therefore, to synthesize and analyse the synergistic effects of cerium (Ce) and cerium-silver (Ce-Ag) doping of borosilicate bioactive glass (BBG) on the bioactivity, antibacterial properties, and biocompatibility for potential applications in bone tissue engineering. This study utilized a sol-gel Stöber method to synthesize doped BBGs based on S49B4.

Background: Few data are available on polymer-free drug-eluting stents in patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Aims: We aimed to determine the efficacy and safety of a polymer-free amphilimus-eluting stent (AES), using a reservoir-based technology for drug delivery, compared with a biodegradable-polymer everolimus-eluting stent (EES).
Methods: This was a randomised, investigator-initiated, assessor-blind, non-inferiority trial conducted at 14 hospitals in Italy (ClinicalTrials.

Background: Lipid vesicles, especially those utilizing biocompatible materials like chitosan (CHIT), hold significant promise for enhancing the stability and release characteristics of drugs such as indomethacin (IND), effectively overcoming the drawbacks associated with conventional drug formulations.
Objectives: This study seeks to develop and characterize novel lipid vesicles composed of phosphatidylcholine and CHIT that encapsulate indomethacin (IND-ves), as well as to evaluate their in vitro hemocompatibility.
Methods: The systems encapsulating IND were prepared using a molecular droplet self-assembly technique, involving the dissolution of lipids, cholesterol, and indomethacin in ethanol, followed by sonication and the gradual incorporation of a CHIT solution to form stable vesicular structures.

This study introduces a novel method to enhance the antibacterial functionality of electrospun nanofibrous textiles by integrating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) into poly (lactic acid) (PLA) fabrics through pre- and post-electrospinning techniques. AgNPs were incorporated into hydrophobic and modified hydrophilic PLA textiles via pre-solution blending and post-solution casting. A PEG-PPG-PEG tri-block copolymer was utilized to enhance hydrophilicity and water stability, while AgNPs served as antibacterial agents.
