Objective: To explore the transfection rate of SPIO-shRNA dual functional molecular probe into ovarian carcinoma SKOV3 cells in external magnetic field.
Methods: Dual functional molecular probe at an iron concentration of 45 mg/L was transfected into SKOV3 cells. The cells with coexisting probe and magnetic fields were set as the intervention group, the probe-transfected cells as negative control group, and normally cultured SKOV3 without any transfection as blank control group. The transfection rate was detected by flow cytometry. Cell viability was observed by CCK-8 assay. Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression level in SKOV3 cells was determined by real-time quantitative PCR and Western blot analysis. The signal intensity was measured by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Results: The transfection rate of the intervention group was (79.20 ± 3.31)%, which was significantly higher than that of negative control group (P=0.001). Compared with the negative control group, the cell viability of the intervention group significantly decreased (P=0.011), protein and mRNA expression levels of EGFR in the intervention group were significantly decreased (both P<0.05). The signal intensity on T2(*)WI in the intervention group also significantly decreased (P=0.0004).
Conclusion: The external magnetic field can improve the transfection efficiency SPIO-shRNA dual functional molecular probe into ovarian carcinoma SKOV3 cells.

Background: The molecular etiology of tau-derived neurodegeneration remains poorly understood, reflected in the low success rate of clinical trials. Hence, aquiring a better understanding the molecular basis of tauopathies is a critical need.
Objective: To develop a versatile and reproducible system to study tau aggregation with high spatiotemporal control through optogenetics that will aid in investigating the differences in tau aggregation kinetics, the burden the burden of tau isoforms, and mutations and that will be suitable for high-throughput analysis of tauopathy-related mechanisms.

Background: Altered neuronal timing and synchrony are biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease (AD) and correlate with memory impairments. Electrical stimulation of the fornix, the main fibre bundle connecting the hippocampus to the septum, has emerged as a potential intervention to restore network synchrony and memory performance in human AD and mouse models. However, electrical stimulation is non-specific and may partially explain why fornix stimulation in AD patients has yielded mixed results.

Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate how miR-200b-3p inhibitors the proliferation and metastasis of endometrial cancer(EC) cells by inducing the expression of FOS-like antigen 2(FOSL2) of activator protein 1(AP1) transcription family. Methods Endometrial cancer cell line HEC-1-A was divided into 12 groups: NC-mimic (transfected with negative control NC mimic), miR-200b-3p mimic (transfected with miR-200b-3p mimic), NC-inhibitor (transfected with negative control NC inhibitor), miR-200b-3p inhibitor group (transfected with miR-200b-3p inhibitor), si-NC (transfected with negative control Si-NC), si-FOSL2 (transfected with si-FOSL2), oe-NC (transfected with negative control oe-NC), oe-FOSL2 group (oe-FOSL2), miR-200b-3p mimic+oe-NC group (co-transfected with miR-200b-3p mimic and oe-NC), miR-200b-3p mimic+oe-FOSL2 group (co-transfected with miR-200b-3p mimic and oe-FOSL2), miR-200b-3p inhibitor+si-NC group (co-transfected with miR-200b-3p inhibitor and si-NC), miR-200b-3p inhibitor+si-FOSL2 group (co-transfected with miR-200b-3p inhibitor and si-FOSL2). Real-time fluorescence quantitative PCR, Western blot, CCK-8 assay, scratch test and Transwell assay were used to detect the expression of miR-200b-3p mRNA, FOSL2 mRNA and protein expression level, cell proliferation, migration and invasion.

Purpose: To investigate the protective effect and mechanism of enhanced expression of endogenous macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) on cardiac ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury.
Methods: A recombinant double-stranded adeno-associated virus serotype 9 with MIF or green fluorescent protein (GFP) genes (dsAAV9-MIF/GFP) was transduced into mice and neonatal rat ventricular myocytes (NRVMs). The models of cardiac 60 min ischemia and 24 h reperfusion and 12 h hypoxia/12 h reoxygenation (H/R) were established in mice and NRVMs, respectively.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), the most common primary liver cancer, is marked by a high mortality rate, with the misregulation of long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) playing a key role in its development. Here, we studied the role of LINC02987 in HCC. We employed bioinformatics tools to identify LncRNAs and miRNAs that exhibit differential expression in HCC.
