Introduction: Recreating the philtral ridge and restoring orbicularis oris muscle continuity in cleft patients is a challenging task. Our muscle to sub-dermis technique introduces an effective method for achieving the desired philtral ridge reconstruction.
Method: From August 2015 to July 2023, a retrospective study was conducted with a follow-up period of at least 6 months.

Numerous surgical techniques for median cleft lip repair have been described; however, most cause excessively sharp peaks or the collapse of Cupid's bow. We report a technique for median cleft lip repair using a mucosal skin flap and full-thickness skin graft and 15 years of follow-up. Our technique provides acceptable formation of the columella, philtrum, and the two peaks of Cupid's bow.

Purpose: Little information is known about the mentalis nerve course from the lower lip approximation margin (free margin) to the upper lip. Likewise, no difference in nerve distribution has been observed between the cutaneous and mucosal parts of the lip. Therefore, this study reexamined mentalis nerve morphology.
