The A Adenosine Receptor (AAR) is an important therapeutic target due to its role in inflammation and immune response regulation. Herein, we synthesized and evaluated 5'-deoxy-adenosine derivatives with oxygen at the 4'-position, comparing them to previously studied 4'-thionucleosides. Previous studies have suggested that ginsenoside Rg glycine ester derivative (RG) exhibits therapeutic potential in mitigating hypoxia. This study aimed to elucidate the potential mechanism of RG in hypoxia injury through a combined approach of metabolomics and network pharmacology. Initially, a CoCl-induced cell hypoxia model was established, and the therapeutic impact of RG on biochemical indices was evaluated.

This review examines the history of contact lens (CL) care products, particularly focusing on hard contact lenses (HCLs) like those made from polymethyl methacrylate and rigid gas permeable (RGP) materials. Although literature on CL history is extensive, there is limited information on the history of CL care products, especially in Japan. This review uses advertisements from the Journal of the Japan Contact Lens Society from 1959 to 2023 to trace the evolution of these products.

Objective: This study aimed to compare the efficacy and safety of transanal total mesorectal excision (TaTME) with laparoscopic total mesorectal excision (LaTME) in patients with middle and low rectal cancer.
Methods: A comprehensive search of PubMed, Embase, and Cochrane databases was conducted to identify studies evaluating TaTME and LaTME from inception to June 2023. An additional search update was conducted in November 2024 to capture recently published studies.
