Introduction: Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AITL) is a rare and aggressive lymphoma with a poor prognosis. AITL is associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-positive B cells in most cases, suggesting a possible role for the virus in the pathobiology of AITL. Cell lines from AITL patients do not exist and models of human AITL are needed.

Background: The burden of hepatitis C virus (HCV)-related hospitalizations is substantial, particularly among people with HIV and HCV. In Ontario, Canada, use of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) increased following policies removing fibrosis-stage restrictions and approving of pangenotypic agents in 2017 and 2018, respectively. We examined the impact of expanded DAA access on HCV-related hospitalizations in people with HIV.

Black girls in the United States are disproportionately diagnosed with sexually transmitted infections (STIs), which can increase the risk of contracting HIV (human immunodeficiency virus), compared to adolescent girls of other races. Therefore, this study was designed to understand barriers to impactful HIV/STI and substance use prevention programmes for Black girls. Data was collected between October 2021 and June 2022 from twelve focus groups which included (N = 62) participants who identified as Black and female between the ages of 13 and 18 years old.

With the increasing use of disease modifying therapies as treatment for multiple sclerosis, knowledge of the rare but possibly severe adverse events becomes increasingly important. We present a case of Varicella-Zoster virus associated vasculopathy in a young male multiple sclerosis patient, treated with dimethyl fumarate. We aim to address this rare but potentially deadly complication of varicella-Zoster virus infection and spread awareness about the increased risk in this patient population.

Introduction: Molecular surveillance is an important tool for detecting chains of transmission and controlling the HIV epidemic. This can also improve our knowledge of molecular and epidemiological factors for the optimization of prevention. Our objective was to illustrate this by studying the molecular and epidemiological evolution of the cluster including the new circulating recombinant form (CRF) 94_cpx of HIV-1, detected in 2017 and targeted by preventive actions in 2018.
