Aggregates of perylene bisimide (PBI) derivative 3 serve as reactors and stabilizers for the preparation of mercury nanoparticles (HgNPs) which exhibit excellent catalytic efficiency in the conversion of aldoximes/ketoximes into primary/secondary amides via Beckmann rearrangement.
