The purpose of the study was to examine air-traffic controllers attending the automated air-traffic management system called Start. The data revealed that during the night shift air-traffic controllers experienced significant changes in body functioning in comparison with morning and day shifts (deterioration of self-appraisal indices and elevation of catecholamin excretion). The correlation analysis demonstrated that activation of sympathoardrenal chains (primarily of the mediator chain) had a negative influence on the indices of health state, activity and attitude of mind of air-traffic controllers.

Emissions from airport sources degrade air quality impacting community health. While some airports assess air pollution, others assess broader environmental effects, including CO emissions and noise. Utilising a transition management approach, this paper examines Australian airport practices and develops key sustainable strategies to reduce environmental impacts.

To address the issue of safe, orderly, and efficient operation for unmanned vehicles within the apron area in the future, a hardware framework of aircraft-vehicle-airfield collaboration and a trajectory planning method for unmanned vehicles on the apron were proposed. As for the vehicle-airfield perspective, a collaboration mechanism between flight support tasks and unmanned vehicle departure movement was constructed. As for the latter, a control mechanism was established for the right-of-way control of the apron.

Since 1999, every report released by the International Panel on Climate Change has advocated a decrease in the greenhouse gas emissions associated with aviation in order to preserve the current climate. This study used a two variable differential equations model with a non-linear control term to address several aspects of the emissions stabilization issue. By optimizing the control term parameter, several management alternatives can be obtained based on the properties of the phase plane of the model solutions, as identified by a stability analysis.
