The primary solution degradation products of the antiulcer drug etintidine (1, N"-cyano-N-[2-[[(5-methyl-1H-imidazol-4-yl)methyl]thio]ethyl]- N'-2-propynylguanidine) were determined to be the guanyl urea 2, the guanidine 3, the amine 4a, and the cyanoamine 4b. These products resulted from nitrile hydrolysis and/or intramolecular cyclization of the guanidino and propargyl groups. The amine 4a was found to be a predominant degradation product in aqueous media of pH 4-7 at 70 +/- 0.2 degrees C.

Over the past few decades, significant efforts have been dedicated to advancing technologies for the removal of micropollutants from water. Achieving complete pure water with a single treatment process is challenging and nearly impossible. One promising approach among various alternatives is adopting hybrid technology, which is considered as a win-win technology.

Cancer is a major global health issue that is usually treated with multiple therapies, such as chemotherapy and targeted therapies like immunotherapy. Immunotherapy is a new and alternative approach to treating various types of cancer that are difficult to treat with other methods. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors have shown promise for long-term efficacy, they have limited effectiveness in common cancer types such as breast, prostate, and lung.

Brazilian soils have distinctive characteristics to European and North American soils which are typically used to investigate pesticide fate. This study aimed to compare soil-water partition coefficient (K), reversibility of adsorption and degradation half-life (DT) of 5 pesticides covering a wide range of physico-chemical properties in contrasting Brazilian soils (Argissolo, Gleissolo, Latossolo and Neossolo) and a temperate (UK) alfisol soil, and to study their relationship with soil OM, clay and expandable clay content, CEC and pH. In addition, we used a novel laboratory test to evaluate sorption reversibility, the 3-Phase Assay (3PA).

ISB 1442 is a bispecific biparatopic antibody in clinical development to treat hematological malignancies. It consists of two adjacent anti-CD38 arms targeting non-overlapping epitopes that preferentially drive binding to tumor cells and a low-affinity anti-CD47 arm to enable avidity-induced blocking of proximal CD47 receptors. We previously reported the pharmacology of ISB 1442, designed to reestablish synthetic immunity in CD38+ hematological malignancies.

Formamidinium-based perovskites (FA perovskites) often incorporate methylammonium chloride (MACl) to stabilize the α-FAPbI phase and prevent formation of the δ phase. However, MACl undergoes deprotonation and reacts with FA, leading to the generation of unstable byproducts that can cause component degradation and negatively impact the device performance. In this study, we introduce ethylenediaminetetramethylenephosphonic acid as a corrosion inhibitor, which effectively prevents the formation of these byproducts and stabilizes α-FAPbI.
