: Numerous medical schools currently offer a master of arts (MA) in bioethics dual degree for physicians. A degree in bioethics enhances the care physicians provide to patients and prepares physicians to serve on ethics committees and consult services. Additionally, they may work on institutional and public policy issues related to ethics. Several physician assistant (PA) programs currently offer a master of public health (MPH) dual degree for PAs. A degree in public health prepares PAs for leadership roles in meeting community health needs. With the success of PA/MPH dual degree programs, we argue here that a PA/bioethics dual degree would be another opportunity to advance the PA profession and consider how such a program might be implemented. The article includes the individual perspectives of the authors, one of whom completed a graduate-level certificate in bioethics concurrently with his 2-year PA program, while the other served as a bioethics program director.

Hemispheric specialization of different functions is proposed to confer evolutionary benefits, yet the behavioral impacts of lateralization and its cognitive and neural mechanisms remain unclear. This study investigated the effect of lateralization pattern between language and spatial attention on dual-task performance and its association with callosal connectivity. Functional lateralization was assessed using fMRI verbal fluency and landmark tasks, and interhemispheric connections were evaluated through diffusion-weighted imaging.

Silicon carbide (SiC) metal oxide semiconductor field-effect transistors (MOSFETs) are a future trend in traction inverters in electric vehicles (EVs), and their thermal safety is crucial. Temperature-sensitive electrical parameters' (TSEPs) indirect detection normally requires additional circuits, which can interfere with the system and increase costs, thereby limiting applications. Therefore, there is still a lack of cost-effective and sensorless thermal monitoring techniques.

Chip defect detection is a crucial aspect of the semiconductor production industry, given its significant impact on chip performance. This paper proposes a lightweight neural network with dual decoding paths for LED chip segmentation, named LDDP-Net. Within the LDDP-Net framework, the receptive field of the MobileNetv3 backbone is modified to mitigate information loss.

Acoustic droplet vaporization (ADV) plays a crucial role in ultrasound-related biomedical applications. While previous models have examined the stages of nucleation, growth, and oscillation in isolation, which may limit their ability to fully describe the entire ADV process. To address this, our study developed an integrated model that unifies these three stages of ADV, stimulated by a continuous nonlinear dual-frequency ultrasound wave.

Multivalvular endocarditis (MVE) is an uncommon presentation and mostly involves mitral and aortic valves. Here, we present a case of an MVE with an unusual and bizarre presentation on a Halloween night with a massive degree of valve destruction and right- and left-side involvement requiring emergent surgery. A 51-year-old male patient with intravenous drug usage presented with anorexia, fever, and dyspnea, rapidly progressing to septic shock with multiorgan dysfunction.
