Background: At the regional transfusion service in the Region of Southern Denmark, serological investigations are primarily carried out using column agglutination techniques. This case study examines an unusual instance of reagent interference in pretransfusion testing using column agglutination at the Hospital of Southern Denmark, Aabenraa.
Case Presentation: A 72-year-old male patient presented for pretransfusion testing prior to hernia surgery.

Effective control of tuberculosis (TB) depends on early diagnosis of disease, yet available tests are unable to perfectly detect infected individuals. In novel hosts diagnostic testing methods for TB are extrapolated from other species, with unknown accuracy. The primary challenge to evaluating the accuracy of TB tests is the lack of a perfect reference test.

Background And Objectives: Discrepancy between forward and reverse ABO grouping could be due to several reasons including genetic mutations of the alleles encoding group specific transferase. The healthy donors found with weak A antigen were investigated to ascertain the allele responsible for variation.
Materials And Methods: Standard serological methods were employed using commercial antisera.

Introduction: Rh D alloimmunization is the serologic response that occurs when Rh D-negative patients are exposed to Rh D-positive blood. Rh D blood typing is recommended in pregnancy to prevent alloimmunization.
Case Presentation: A 27-year-old gravida 3, para 2012 (G3P2012) previously Rh D-negative female presented with discordant and weakly positive Rh D blood typing results.
