At an estimated incidence of 2 cases per million persons per year, osteosarcoma is the most common primary malignant bone tumor in children and adults, excluding hematopoietic intraosseous tumors. Orbital metastases of osteosarcoma are very rare. Only 5 cases of orbital metastasis of osteosarcoma previously reported in the literature. We report the case of a 19-year-old man with known history of osteosarcoma of right distal femur who presented with acute visual loss and progressive protrusion of his left eye. Orbital CT scan and MRI revealed orbital mass eroding orbital walls and intracranial invasion. He underwent superotemporal orbitotomy for debulking of orbital mass. Histopathological examination (HPE) of the specimen was reported as metastatic osteosarcoma with extensive tumor necrosis. Then he underwent adjuvant chemotherapy and palliative radiotherapy. Although orbital metastasis of osteosarcoma is a rare event, it seems it has had an increasing trend recently. so, making efforts to palliate the patient's symptoms by multidisciplinary teamwork and proper interaction among ophthalmologist, orthopedic surgeons and oncologists is necessary.

Purpose: This retrospective study aimed to characterize the clinical features, histopathological findings, and treatment outcomes of patients diagnosed with orbital inflammatory disease (OID) co-managed by the rheumatology and ophthalmology departments in a tertiary hospital.
Methods: Medical records of 14 patients with OID were analyzed. Data on demographics, clinical presentation, laboratory investigations, radiological imaging, histopathological results, treatment regimens, and disease outcomes were collected and reviewed.

Peribulbar anesthesia is mainly used for cataract surgery. Many studies had used atracurium and rocuronium as an additive to the local anesthetic (LA) drugs in eye surgery. The aim of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of adding atracurium versus rocuronium to a local anesthetic mixture, in providing an early onset of orbital akinesia and corneal anesthesia during cataract surgery.

The reduction of CO mediated by transition metals has garnered significant interest, yet little is known about the reduction of CO using f-element compounds. Herein, the reduction of CO to CO by tetravalent uranium (U) compound UO is investigated via matrix isolation infrared spectroscopy and quantum chemical study. Our results reveal that a stable carbonate intermediate OUCO () can be prepared at low temperatures (4-12 K).

Current-induced torques originating from earth-abundant 3d elements offer a promising avenue for low-cost and sustainable spintronic memory and logic applications. Recently, orbital currents─transverse orbital angular momentum flow in response to an electric field─have been in the spotlight since they allow current-induced torque generation from 3d transition metals. Here, we report a comprehensive study of the current-induced spin and orbital torques in Cu-based magnetic heterostructures.

Purpose: To investigate the differences in brain spontaneous neural activity between limb-onset and bulbar-onset amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS-L and ALS-B, respectively) patients using resting-state functional MRI (rs-fMRI) with amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation (ALFF) and regional homogeneity (ReHo).
Materials And Methods: The rs-fMRI data were collected from 41 ALS patients (11 ALS-B and 30 ALS-L) and 25 healthy controls (HC). ALFF and ReHo values were calculated, and group differences were assessed using one-way ANCOVA and two-sample t-tests.
