A silver nitrate-mediated, efficient phosphorylation of benzothiazoles and thiazoles with diarylphosphine oxides was developed. This process provides a convenient route for the synthesis of a variety of 2-diarylphosphoryl benzothiazoles and thiazoles which are promising precursors of a series of hemilabile P,N-ligands with small bite angles.

The synthesis and characterization of benzo[d]thiazol-2-amine derivatives, which were prepared by reacting benzothiazole with para-aminobenzophenone in ethanol, supplemented with glacial acetic acid. Subsequently, compound (2) was synthesized from compound (1) using NaNO, HPO, and HNO in a water-based solvent, resulting in 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde. Another derivative, compound (3), was synthesized by reacting compound (1) with vanillin under similar conditions.

Background: Our goal is to identify conditions to produce structurally homogeneous and reproducible preparations of different polymorphic structures. Here we investigate the effect of several widely used methods for solubilizing Abeta on the subsequent aggregation process.

Method: Aliquots of HPLC-purified synthetic Aβ40 in originally lyophilized from acetonitrile/water (AcN) 50% v/v were dissolved in hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP) 100%, AcN 50% v/v, NH4OH 2%, or 50 mM Phosphate buffer (PB), re-aliquoted and lyophilized.

Background: Since 2017, dermatophytosis caused by the newly introduced species Trichophyton indotineae has gained new interest worldwide due to the rise in terbinafine resistance and difficulty in the treatment of recalcitrant infections. Distinguishing T. indotineae from other Trichophyton species based on morphological features is impossible and DNA sequencing is necessary for accurate identification.

A novel copper and iron doped containing chitosan and heparin sodium carbon dots (CS-Cu,Fe/HS) nanozyme was formulated through a single-step microwave digestion method. CS-Cu,Fe/HS exhibits excellent peroxidase (POD)-like activity and positive charge characteristics, and it can oxidize the negatively charged 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) in the presence of HO to produce a green compound (ox-ABTS). Furthermore, CS-Cu,Fe/HS enhances electron transfer and provides additional active sites through the valence state transformations of Fe/Fe and Cu/Cu.

Bright biocompatible fluorescent imaging dyes with red to near-infrared (NIR) emissions are ideal candidates for fluorescence microscopy applications. Pyrene-benzothiazolium hemicyanine dyes are a new class of lysosome-specific probes reported on recently. In this work, we conduct a detailed implementation study for a pyrene-benzothiazolium derivative, BTP, to explore its potential imaging applications in fluorescence microscopy.
