: Vulvar epidermolytic hyperkeratosis (EHK) is an exceedingly rare dermatological condition, often presenting as solitary or multiple lesions in the vulvar region. Due to its clinical resemblance to other vulvar disorders, such as condyloma acuminatum, Bowenoid papulosis, and squamous cell carcinoma, vulvar EHK poses significant diagnostic challenges. A man in his 60s suffered from refractory, biopsy-proven subacute cutaneous lupus erythematosus that required chronic, moderate dose steroids to manage. His rash was accompanied by arthralgias and negative autoantibody testing. His subacute lupus erythematosus (SCLE) was responsive to tofacitinib, but thrombotic complications limited the use of this medication.

Crassulacean acid metabolism (CAM), a specialized mode of photosynthetic carbon assimilation characterized by nocturnal fixation of atmospheric CO and vacuolar malic acid storage, is found in a wide variety of vascular plant species, mainly those inhabiting water-limited environments. Identifying and characterizing diverse CAM species enhances our understanding of the physiological, ecological, and evolutionary significance of CAM photosynthesis. In this study, we examined the effect of CO elimination on chlorophyll fluorescence-based photosynthetic parameters in two constitutive CAM Kalanchoe species and six orchids.

Anthracyclines, such as doxorubicin, are important anti-cancer therapies but are associated with arterial injury. Histopathological insights have been limited to small animal models, and the role of inflammation in the arterial toxic effects of anthracycline is unclear in humans. Our aims were (1) to evaluate aortic media fibrosis and injury in non-human primates treated with anthracyclines; (2) to assess the effect of anthracycline on aortic inflammation in patients treated for lymphoma.
