This paper aimed to explore knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) of women towards the municipal solid waste (MSW) management in Tehran, Iran, to provide a basis for experts and decision-makers to develop or improve practical waste management strategies. The case was a 75-year-old female with dyspeptic symptoms of a 2 month duration. There was a polycystic lesion at the level of the uncinate pancreatic process of 44 x 42 x 34 mm on abdominal ultrasound and MRI, which caused a slight dilation of the main pancreatic duct. EUS was performed that identified a multicystic formation of 25x36 mm in the pancreatic body and FNA was performed of the lesion.

A 54-year-old man, ex smoker with high blood pressure and a history of possible Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome was admitted for presenting an episode suggestive of acute coronary syndrome with immediate syncope and left bundle branch block, while performing physical activity. Angioplasty and a drug-eluting stent were performed in the left circumflex artery. Subsequently, Doppler echocardiography disclosed an image suggestive of a subaortic membrane.

The complexity of treating severe sepsis and septic shock has been elucidated in myriad studies, particularly in the past 10 years. The development of clinical guidelines, insight into the effect of bundle elements, and results of clinical trials have brought to light further opportunities and questions in the approach to pharmaceutical interventions for the global challenge to save lives and reduce healthcare costs. Therapeutic interventions including fluid resuscitation, hemodynamic monitoring, glycemic control, corticosteroids, and antimicrobial therapy and stewardship inform outcomes.
