Exchange interaction at the interface between magnetic layers exhibits significant contribution to the magnetic resonance frequency. The in situ tuning of the resonance frequency, as large as 10 GHz, is demonstrated in a spintronics microwave device through manipulating the interface exchange interaction.

Relaxation-induced dipolar modulation enhancement (RIDME) is a pulse EPR experiment originally designed to determine distances between spin labels. However, RIDME has several features that make it an efficient tool in a number of "nonconventional" applications, away from the original purpose of this pulse experiment. RIDME appears to be an interesting experiment to probe longitudinal electron spin dynamics, e.

Context: Designing efficient sensitive materials for the detection of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as ethanol, acetone, and benzene is stringent owing to the significant environmental and health risks induced by these compounds, in addition to their role as biomarkers for chronic diseases and food quality. This study investigates the adsorption mechanisms of VOC molecules (ethanol, acetone, and benzene) on both non-oxidized and oxidized SnO (110) monolayers and identifies the most suitable surface for gas sensing applications. For this, we examined structural properties, adsorption energies, density of states, gas responses, and recovery times.

Dengue fever is a serious health issue, particularly in tropical countries like Singapore. We have previously found that dengue virus (DENV) recruits human plasmin in blood meal to enhance the permeability of the mosquito midgut for infection. Here, using biolayer interferometry, we found that neither kringle-4 nor kringle-5 plasmin domains alone binds well to dengue virus.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are associated with amyloid-β (Aβ) dysmetabolism, a pivotal factor in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease (AD). This study unveiled a novel miRNA, microRNA-32533 (miR-32533), featuring a distinctive base sequence identified through RNA sequencing of the APPswe/PSEN1dE9 (APP/PS1) mouse brain. Its role and underlying mechanisms were subsequently explored.

Fluorine-free organic framework polyelectrolyte membranes showing near frictionless ionic conductivities are gaining cognitive insights. However, the co-precipitation of COFs in the membranes often brings trade-offs to commission long-life electrochemical energy storage solutions. Herein, a durable and ionically miscible dual-ion exchange membrane based on triazine organic framework (TOF) is designed for alkaline redox flow batteries (RFB).
