The research conducted in this preclinical study assesses QazCovid-live, a live attenuated COVID-19 vaccine created in Kazakhstan, by conducting preclinical evaluations of safety, immunogenicity, and allergenicity in various animal models, including mice, rats, hamsters, and guinea pigs. The vaccine, developed by attenuating SARS-CoV-2 via numerous Vero cell passages, had no significant adverse effects in acute and subacute toxicity assessments, even at elevated dosages. Allergenicity testing indicated the absence of both immediate and delayed hypersensitivity reactions.

An optimal physical condition has beneficial effects in adults at risk of chronic diseases. However, research data on how adverse reactions to food (ARFSs) are linked to physical performance are lacking. The aims of this study were (a) to investigate the prevalence of ARFS according to age; (b) to analyze physical performance level according to the type of ARFS; and (c) to determine the probability of having a positive ARFS according to physical performance levels.

Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic inflammatory skin condition characterized by immune dysregulation, skin barrier dysfunction, and a significant patient burden. Recent studies have highlighted the aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) as a promising therapeutic target for AD management because of its pivotal role in modulating immune responses and maintaining skin barrier integrity. The dysfunction of the AhR pathway has been linked to AD pathogenesis, emphasizing the need for therapies that can restore its regulatory functions.

In-office teeth bleaching is an esthetic dental procedure performed to whiten teeth. A desensitizing procedure often requires prior in-office bleaching to relieve tooth hypersensitivity. The objective of this study was to evaluate the bleaching efficiency of teeth specimens pre-treated with different desensitizing agents by analyzing the color parameters.

Urticaria is a debilitating skin condition affecting up to 20% of the global population, characterized by erythematous, maculopapular lesions and significant quality of life impairment. This study focused on the role of interleukin 33 (IL-33) and its polymorphisms, particularly SNP , in chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). Using demographic, clinical, and laboratory data from CSU patients and controls, we estimated allele and genotype frequencies, Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium condition, and serum IL-33 levels, using unconditional binomial logistic regression for association analysis.
