Many studies have suggested that CXCR3, CXCR5, CXCR6 and CXCR7 chemokine receptors are determinant in type 1 diabetes (T1D), expecially in autoimmunity and β-cell destruction. In particular circulating CXCL10 level (the ligand of CXCR3) is high in T1D patients, and this suggests that CXCL10 may be a candidate for a predictive marker of T1D. Blocking the CXCL10/CXCR3 axis in newly onset of diabetes seems to be a potential strategy for the therapy of T1D. Attempts have been done in modulating or blocking CXCR5, CXCR6 and CXCR7 chemokine receptors in experimental settings of T1D. More researches are necessary to evaluate the interplay among cytokines, chemokines and the pathogenesis and therapy of T1D.

In response to acute infection, naive CD4+ T cells primarily differentiate into T helper 1 (Th1) or T follicular helper (Tfh) cells that play critical roles in orchestrating cellular or humoral arms of immunity, respectively. However, despite the well established role of T-bet and BCL-6 in driving Th1 and Tfh cell lineage commitment, respectively, whether additional transcriptional circuits also underlie the fate bifurcation of Th1 and Tfh cell subsets is not fully understood. In this article, we study how the transcriptional regulator Bhlhe40 dictates the Th1/Tfh differentiation axis in mice.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a type of leukemia known for its unfavorable prognoses, prompting research efforts to discover new therapeutic targets. One area of investigation involves examining extracellular factors, particularly CXC chemokines. While CXCL12 (SDF-1) and its receptor CXCR4 have been extensively studied, research on other CXC chemokine axes in AML is less developed.

Background: The presence of meningeal ectopic lymphoid structures (ELS) in a subgroup of patients diagnosed with secondary progressive multiple sclerosis (SPMS) corresponds to a pronounced cortical inflammation and an aggravated disease course. In MP4-induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE), a mouse model of multiple sclerosis (MS), B cell aggregates develop in the central nervous system (CNS) in the chronic stage of the disease. Therefore, the model is suitable for studying key molecules of ELS development and maintenance.

Background: The expression profiles and molecular mechanisms of CXC chemokine receptors (CXCRs) in Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) have been extensively explored. However, the comprehensive prognostic values of CXCR members in LUAD have not yet been clearly identified.
Methods: Multiple available datasets, including Oncomine datasets, the cancer genome atlas (TCGA), HPA platform, GeneMANIA platform, DAVID platform and the tumor immune estimation resource (TIMER) were used to detect the expression of CXCRs in LUAD, as well as elucidate the significance and value of novel CXCRs-associated genes and signaling pathways in LUAD.

Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disease characterized by impaired communication, impaired reciprocal social interaction, restricted sociability deficits, and the presence of stereotyped patterns of behaviors. Immune dysregulation has been suggested to play a possible etiological role in ASD. Recent studies have demonstrated that exposure to methylmercury chloride (MeHgCl) leads to abnormal gait, motor deficits, impaired hearing, and memory deficits; however, its effects on behavioral and immunological responses have not been adequately investigated in ASD.
