Introduction: Information disclosure is important in promoting unsafe food recalls and reducing potential food safety risks. However, the governance of unsafe food recall information in China is distorted, leading to cognitive dissonance in Chinese consumers' perceptions of unsafe food recall information. Focusing on consumers' search and cognitive costs, this study suggests that market regulators should proactively and fully disclose unsafe food recall information to satisfy consumers' needs and preferences for recall information, thereby optimizing consumer perceptions and facilitating the improvement of the information governance system for unsafe food recalls.

Aims: We examined the association between sex, age, temporal trends, and glycemic control among people with type 2 diabetes (T2D) in a multi-ethnic middle-income Asian country.

Methods: Using the National Diabetes Registry (2011-2020), we analyzed data for 221,769 adult Malaysians with T2D.We used quantile regressions to estimate the association of sex, age, and their interaction on HbAlevels at the 5th, 50th, and 95thpercentile and logistic regression to estimate the odds of good control (HbA < 7 %).

Relationship Between Mitochondrial Biological Function and Breast Cancer: An Approach Based on Mendelian Randomization Analysis.

Breast J

January 2025

Department of Thyroid and Breast Surgery, Affiliated Hospital of Nantong University, Medical School of Nantong University, Nantong 226001, China.

This study aims to investigate the potential causal link between mitochondrial function and breast cancer using the Mendelian randomization (MR) analysis. The data used for this study were obtained from genomewide association studies (GWAS) databases on mitochondrial biological function and breast cancer. Mitochondrial function was considered the exposure variable, breast cancer the outcome variable, and specific single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) were selected as instrumental variables (IVs).

Introduction: Frailty is an emerging global health burden, and there is no consensus on the precise prediction of frailty. We aimed to explore the association between grip strength and frailty and interpret the optimal machine learning (ML) model using the SHapley Additive exPlanation (SHAP) to predict the risk of frailty.

Methods: Data for the study were extracted from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS) database.

Objective: This study aims to support the selection of PCSK9 inhibitors for patients requiring lipid management within medical institutions. By quantitatively evaluating four PCSK9 inhibitors, we provide evidence-based guidance for optimal selection in this patient population.

Methods: According to the Rapid Guide for Drug Evaluation and Selection in Chinese Medical Institutions (Second Edition) released in 2023, relevant databases such as PubMed, Cochrane, Embase, drug labels, and clinical guidelines were searched for drug information.
