Isolated REM sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) is an early stage of synucleinopathy with most patients progressing to Parkinson's disease (PD) or related conditions. Quantitative susceptibility mapping (QSM) in PD has identified pathological iron accumulation in the substantia nigra (SN) and variably also in basal ganglia and cortex. Analyzing whole-brain QSM across iRBD, PD, and healthy controls (HC) may help to ascertain the extent of neurodegeneration in prodromal synucleinopathy.

Environmental events often occur on a probabilistic basis but can sometimes be predicted based on specific cues and thus approached proactively. Incidental statistical learning enables the acquisition of knowledge about probabilistic cue-target contingencies. However, the neural mechanisms of statistical learning about contingencies (SL), the required conditions for successful learning, and the role of implicit processes in the resultant proactive behavior are still debated.

Background: It has been emphasized for a long time that neurodevelopmental and neurodegenerative processes play an important role in the etiology of schizophrenia.
Subjects And Methods: In this study, brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of 97 patients with schizophrenia (SCH), 42 first-episode psychosis (FEP) patients, and 70 healthy controls (HC) were analyzed, and abnormal findings on brain MRI were recorded. Participant's age, gender, and brain MRI findings were recorded retrospectively.

The superior sagittal sinus (SSS) is a midline structure of the superficial cerebral venous system that drains the anterior cerebral hemispheres. Hypoplasia of the rostral SSS is a known variant, although associated complications are rare. A woman in her 30s presented for evaluation of a symptomatic left-sided acoustic neuroma and was found to have an incidental chronic subdural haematoma (SDH) over the left frontoparietal convexity without trauma or precipitating event.

Background: When interpreting nuclear medicine images, unexpected findings are sometimes encountered. Recognizing these findings and determining the mechanism of their occurrence could have a significant impact on early diagnosis of critical diseases and the appropriate management of patients.
Case Summary: A 59-year-old man was admitted to the emergency room due to left hemiparesis, left hemifacial palsy, and mild dysarthria.
