Background: We assessed placental perfusion based on placental vascular sonobiopsy (PVS) at 18-22 weeks of gestation in a low-risk population to predict fetal growth restriction (FGR) or pregnancy-induced hypertension [PIH; gestational hypertension (GH) and preeclampsia (PE)].

Methods: PVS using three-dimensional (3D) power Doppler ultrasound with the VOCAL imaging analysis program was performed in 226 pregnancies [FGR, 25; appropriate-for-gestational age (AGA) 191; and large-for-gestational age (LGA), 10] [PIH, 13 (GH, 7 and PE, 6) and non-PIH, 213] at 18-22 weeks of gestation. 3D power Doppler indices such as the vascularization index (VI), flow index (FI), and vascularization flow index (VFI) using PVS were calculated in each placenta.

Results: There were no significant differences in VI, FI, or VFI values among FGR, AGA, and LGA pregnancies. No significant differences in VI, FI, or VFI values between PHI and non-PIH pregnancies were noted. There were also no significant differences in VI, FI, or VFI values between GH and PE pregnancies.

Conclusions: 3D power Doppler placental vascular indices at 18-22 weeks could not be used to predict high-risk pregnancies that develop FGR or PIH in a low-risk population.

Objectives: To evaluate the potential of clinical factors, ultrasound findings, serum autoantibodies, and serum cytokine and chemokine profiles as predictors of clinical outcomes in rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Patients And Methods: We included 200 patients with RA treated with biological and targeted synthetic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs in a prospective multicentre ultrasound cohort study. Their serum levels of multiple cytokines and chemokines, rheumatoid factors, and serum autoantibodies (anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide-2 (anti-CCP2) and anti-carbamylated protein antibodies) were measured at baseline, 3 months and 12 months.

Objectives: To determine and compare the diagnostic accuracy of imaging tests for the prediction of RA progression in people with inflammatory joint pain or CSA.

Methods: We searched MEDLINE, Embase and Web of Science from 1987 to March 2024. Studies evaluating any imaging tests in participants with inflammatory joint pain or CSA, without clinical synovitis were eligible.

: The aim of this study is to assess the inter- and intra-observer reproducibility of the identification of direct and indirect ultrasonographic features of adenomyosis as defined by the revised Morphological Uterus Sonographic Assessment (MUSA) consensus (2022). : A cohort of 74 women, aged 18 to 45, were recruited from the recurrent miscarriage and general gynaecology clinic at a university-based fertility centre. All the participants underwent 2D and 3D transvaginal Ultrasound scan (TVS) examination in the late follicular and early luteal phase.

Objectives: The objective of this study was to explore the relationship between plantar fascia (PF) thickness and various factors including pain, function, anthropometric parameters, and other variables in women diagnosed with plantar fasciopathy.

Methods: A total of 37 feet from female patients were randomly selected for this investigation. Utilizing ultrasound, the thickness of the PF was meticulously measured.
