We conduct a systematic review of the preclinical studies published to date involving the use of latrepirdine (Dimebon ®). Latrepirdine is capable of modulating different targets, such as those related with mitochondria, acetylcholinesterase activity or intraneuronal calcium levels, perhaps thanks to its action upon the N-methyl-D-aspartate-type receptor, which belongs to the glutamate family. The findings published on the possible effect of latrepirdine in protein aggregation processes in disorders such as Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease are quite controversial. Likewise, the possible neuroprotective effect of latrepirdine has been evaluated in animal models of neurodegenerative diseases, again with heterogeneous results. Consequently, it can be concluded that no preclinical scientific evidence has been found to justify carrying out clinical trials.

Introduction: This systematic review examines dietary interventions in the military nutrition environment (MNE) to support the health and performance of service members (SM).
Methods: Articles that implemented a dietary intervention for active duty SMs on military installations were included in this analysis (from 2010 to 2013). Of the 723 articles yielded in screening through Covidence, 6 studies qualified to be included in this review.
The objective of this systematic literature review was to investigate the effect of Coca-Cola on the properties and, more generally, on the integrity of direct dental filling materials. In addition, it aimed to highlight the importance of dietary behaviour in dentistry and, in this context, to identify tangible strategies for action in routine clinical practice. An electronic search was conducted between January 2022 and July 2024.

Background: Voice analysis has emerged as a potential biomarker for mood state detection and monitoring in bipolar disorder (BD). The systematic review aimed to summarize the evidence for voice analysis applications in BD, examining (1) the predictive validity of voice quality outcomes for mood state detection, and (2) the correlation between voice parameters and clinical symptom scales.
Methods: A PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane Library search was carried out by two investigators for publications investigating voice quality in BD according to Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statements.

Cognitive impairments are frequently observed in patients with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD). Thiamine deficiency is often found in AUD patients and has been suggested as a possible cause of cognitive impairments. While thiamine deficiency is not consistently present in all AUD patients with cognitive deficits, thiamine is traditionally prescribed to patients with AUD to treat or prevent cognitive impairment.
