The article contains the results of studies indicating the benefits of conservative therapy in children with gallbladder cholesterosis (GBC). The high efficiency of ursodeoxycholic acid in the treatment of GBC in childhood is shown in the study. Our research in the field of GBC in children allows the authors to propose management algorithm of such patients.

Background: Cholecystectomy is one of the most common general surgical operations performed worldwide. Limited data is available about the histopathological diagnoses of various gallbladder diseases in North Eastern part of India even though a higher incidence of gallbladder cancer has been reported from this part of the Country. Hence, a retrospective review of the histopathological findings of routine cholecystectomy specimens was done to assess the incidence of gallbladder cancer and other gallbladder pathologies.

Introduction: We report the rare and unusual case of heterotopic ossification within the gallbladder secondary to chronic calculi debris.
Presentation Of Case: A 35-year-old female underwent routine laparoscopic cholecystectomy for recurrent intermittent right upper quadrant pain which had persisted for three months and was worse post prandial with associated nausea. Abdominal ultrasound prior to surgery was reported by a consultant radiologist as demonstrating a thin-walled gallbladder and cholelithiasis, without features of cholecystitis.
