Torsades de Pointes (TdP) is a malignant polymorphic ventricular tachycardia with heart rate corrected QT interval (QTc) prolongation, which may be attributed to congenital and acquired factors. Although various acquired factors for TdP have been summarized, levosimendan administration in complex postoperative settings is relatively uncommon. Timely identification of potential causes and appropriate management may improve the outcome.

Background: Globally, observational studies have demonstrated an association between high levels of air pollution and asthma attacks in children. It remains unclear whether and to what extent exposure may be associated with increased near-fatal/fatal attacks.
Objective: To systematically review the evidence for an association between ambient outdoor air pollution and fatal and/or near-fatal asthma (NFA).

Introduction: Immune checkpoint inhibitors have advanced the outcomes of many different types of cancer. A rare but extraordinarily severe complication of these agents resembles immune checkpoint inhibitor-related myocarditis, which typically occurs within the first few weeks after treatment initiation with a mortality of 25%-50%.
Case Report: A 57-year-old woman had uneventfully received pembrolizumab for metastatic non-small cell lung cancer for over 2.

Objectives: Perceptions towards advanced care planning (ACP) amongst individuals with Ischemic Heart Disease before or after a life-threatening Acute Myocardial Infarction event is underexamined and could impact the appropriate timing for ACP advocacy. This cross-sectional study assessed awareness and intentions regarding ACP in individuals with Ischemic Heart Disease, both before and after an Acute Myocardial Infarction, and explored the motivating effect of a near-fatal Acute Myocardial Infarction event on its engagement.
Methods: This study was conducted from 24 August 2021 through 13 March 2023, whereby patients were administered a one-time questionnaire with no follow-up required.

Objective: To describe our early observations with sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and sudden death (SD) in patients using vape products.
Patients And Methods: A retrospective analysis of Mayo Clinic's Windland Smith Rice Genetic Heart Rhythm Clinic and Sudden Death Genomics Laboratory was performed on all SCA survivors and decedents who presented between January 1, 2007, and December 31, 2021, to identify patients/decedents with a history of vaping. Data abstraction included patient demographics, clinical characteristics, and documented use of vape products.
