Introduction: Rural regions generally report higher smoking rates than urban centers, which increases the risk of tobacco related harms and consequences, and makes promoting smoking cessation in these areas a priority. Mass distribution of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) by postal mail has been found to increase the odds of successful cessation attempts. Understanding factors that contribute to the use of NRT could help maximize this intervention's effectiveness.

Background: Chronic disease has become an increasing burden in Indonesia, increasing the importance of treatment adherence to control the disease prognosis. Therefore, we aim to determine the prevalence and characteristics of nonadherence in Indonesian chronic disease population.
Methods: We identified 11,408 adult subjects with chronic diseases from the fifth Indonesian Family Life Survey.

Background: Wilson's disease (WD) is a rare metabolic disorder of copper accumulation in organs such as liver, brain, and cornea. Diagnoses and treatments are challenging in settings, where advanced diagnostic tests are unavailable, copper chelating agents are frequently scarce, healthcare professionals lack disease awareness, and medical follow-ups are limited. Prompt diagnoses and treatments help prevent complications, improve patients' quality of life, and ensure a normal life expectancy.

Objectives: To investigate the correlation between gastric xanthoma (GX) and precancerous lesions (PCL) and gastric cancer (GC), and to explore other potential risk factors for PCL and GC in northwest China.
Methods: A case-control study was conducted from September 2022 to September 2023 at Xijing Hospital, Air Force Medical University (Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China). The patients who underwent gastroscopy were enrolled and divided into the chronic gastritis (CG) group (n = 423), PCL group (n = 422), and GC group (n = 415).
