Background: Positive findings from testing therapeutics in AD animal models are often not translated to effective treatments due to the poor methodological rigor and inadequate reporting practices of therapeutic efficacy studies. The Alzheimer's Disease Preclinical Efficacy Database (AlzPED), developed by the NIA, is a searchable and publicly available knowledgebase that prioritizes and promotes the use of rigorous methodology to ameliorate this translation gap. Through a checklist of experimental design elements - the Rigor Report Card - AlzPED highlights reporting recommendations and standards while providing a practical tool to help plan rigorous therapeutic studies in animals.

Background: Boosting shared decision-making (SDM) for individuals with dementia is a critical aspect of patient-centered care. This collaborative approach respects the autonomy and dignity of patients, even when they face challenges in communication or decision-making due to their medical condition. Understanding patients' values and preferences may be central to a successful SDM process.

Background: The narrative review aims to explore CRC pathogenesis by deciphering genetic-environmental interactions, analyzing the tumor microenvironment's role, and assessing treatment responses. These objectives seek to enhance clinical decision-making and improve CRC patient care through a comprehensive understanding of the disease.
Methods: A narrative review from 2019 to 2024 on colorectal cancer (CRC) pathogenesis and treatment strategies was conducted.

Background: This is a multicentre, European, prospective trial evaluating the diagnostic accuracy of One Step Nucleic Acid Amplification (OSNA) compared to sentinel lymph nodes histopathological ultrastaging in endometrial cancer patients.
Methods: Centres with expertise in sentinel lymph node mapping in endometrial cancer patients in Europe will be invited to participate in the study. Participating units will be trained on the correct usage of the OSNA RD-210 analyser and nucleic acid amplification reagent kit LYNOAMP CK19 E for rapid detection of metastatic nodal involvement, based on the cytokeratin 19 (CK19) mRNA detection.

The adoption of large language models (LLMs) in healthcare demands a careful analysis of their potential to spread false medical knowledge. Because LLMs ingest massive volumes of data from the open Internet during training, they are potentially exposed to unverified medical knowledge that may include deliberately planted misinformation. Here, we perform a threat assessment that simulates a data-poisoning attack against The Pile, a popular dataset used for LLM development.
