Approximately 10-25 % of patients with diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) at the time of diagnosis exhibit bone marrow involvement (BMI). After introduction of rituximab, immunohistochemistry (IHC) markers lost to prognostic value in DLBCL patients. However, the specimens used have mainly been diagnostic tissues, not bone marrow (BM). It would thus be useful to determine the prognostic value of specific IHC markers of pathologic BM in DLBCL patients with BMI in the rituximab era. In the present study, a total of 580 DLBCL patients were analyzed 67 of whom had BMI. CD10, Bcl-6, MUM-1, Bcl-6 and Ki-67 dyeing on pathologic BM were applied. Bcl-2 positivity was more frequent in discordant BMI (P = 0.039) and high Ki-67 expression was more frequent in concordant BMI (P = 0.016). High Ki-67 expression independently predicted poor prognosis between the negative BMI group and each of the following BMI-positive groups: entire BMI (PFS, P < 0.001; OS, P < 0.001), concordant BMI (PFS, P = 0.024; OS, P = 0.007), and discordant BMI (PFS, P = 0.033; OS, P = 0.026). We found that Ki-67 expression in pathologic BM is a novel significant prognostic parameter of worse prognosis in DLBCL patients with BMI in the rituximab era.

Purpose: To assess and compare the diagnostic efficiency of histogram analysis of monochromatic and iodine images derived from spectral CT in predicting Ki-67 expression in gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumors (gGIST).
Methods: Sixty-five patients with gGIST who underwent spectral CT were divided into a low-level Ki-67 expression group (LEG, Ki-67 < 10%, n = 33) and a high-level Ki-67 expression group (HEG, Ki-67 ≥ 10%, n = 32). Conventional CT features were extracted and compared.

Background: Urothelial carcinoma (UC) is a common type of malignant disease; however, the diagnostic and prognostic markers of upper urinary tract urothelial cancer (UTUC) remain poorly understood because of its rarity.
Methods: To clarify the clinicopathological significance of granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) in UTUC, we analyzed the expression and distribution of G-CSF in 112 upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC) samples with immunohistochemistry.
Results: In normal urothelium, G-CSF expression was weak or absent, whereas high expression of G-CSF was observed in UTUC tissues, both in tumor cells (TCs) and stromal cells (SCs).

This study aimed to establish and validate a multiparameter prediction model for Ki67 expression in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients while also exploring its potential to predict the one-year recurrence risk. The clinical, pathological, and imaging data of 83 patients with HCC confirmed by postoperative pathology were analyzed, and the patients were randomly divided into a training set (n = 58) and a validation set (n = 25) at a ratio of 7:3. All patients underwent a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan that included multi-b value diffusion-weighted scanning before surgery, and quantitative parameters were obtained via intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) and diffusion kurtosis (DKI) models.
