We present an unusual case of a young patient regularly followed in our Chronic Renal Insufficiency ambulatory with the periodicity of 2-3 visits per year - with stabilization of his residual renal function. The patient came to the emergency department declaring abdominal pain but make a diagnosis turned out to be more complicated than we expected

Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic children and young people (CYP) mortality in England reduced to the lowest on record, but it is unclear if the mechanisms which facilitated a reduction in mortality had a longer lasting impact, and what impact the pandemic, and its social restrictions, have had on deaths with longer latencies (e.g., malignancies).

This paper provides a systematization of some recent results in homology of algebras. Our main theorem gives criteria under which the homology of a diagram algebra is isomorphic to the homology of the subalgebra on diagrams having the maximum number of left-to-right connections. From this theorem, we deduce the 'invertible-parameter' cases of the Temperley-Lieb and Brauer results of Boyd-Hepworth and Boyd-Hepworth-Patzt.

Background: Fatigue during the acute phase of dengue infection can persist as post-infectious fatigue (PIF), potentially impacting quality of life. We aimed to determine the prevalence and risk factors of fatigue and PIF among dengue patients.
Methods: This systematic review and meta-analysis was registered in the PROSPERO (CRD42024543058).

The continuous evolution of information technology underscores the growing emphasis on data security. In the realm of medical imaging, various diagnostic images represent the privacy of individuals, and the potential repercussions of their unauthorized disclosure are substantial. Therefore, this study introduces a novel chaotic system (TLCMCML) and employs it to propose a multi-image medical image encryption algorithm.

The chiral edge current is the boundary manifestation of the Chern number of a quantum anomalous Hall (QAH) insulator. The van der Waals antiferromagnet MnBiTe is theorized to be a QAH in odd-layers but has shown Hall resistivity below the quantization value at zero magnetic field. Here, we perform scanning superconducting quantum interference device (sSQUID) microscopy on these seemingly failed QAH insulators to image their current distribution.
