Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore in rural communities of Mexico, the association between physical activity (PA) in school-age children and exposure to migration.
Methods: We measured PA through a questionnaire validated in school-age children and used in Mexican National Surveys. Migration status was measured as the number of years a family member had been in the US, and the amount of remittances that family member had sent to their household in Mexico. We used multivariable linear regression to measure the association between physical activity and migration.
Results: School-age children who had a migrant family member spent less time on PA per day, especially recreation activities, compared to school-age children without the migrating influence. Also, children who belonged to a family that received remittances and their migrant relative lived ≥ 5 years in US were less likely to engage in PA.
Conclusions: Exposure to migration may predict reduction in PA in school-age children left behind in Mexican rural communities from the State of Morelos. These findings call for PA-tailored interventions that consider household migration characteristics.

Introduction: The objective of our study was to estimate the influenza vaccine effectiveness for 2023/24 epidemic of co-circulating influenza A(H3N2) and B(Victoria) viruses in Beijing, China.
Methods: The surveillance-based study included all swabbed patients through influenza virological surveillance in Beijing, between October 2023 and March 2024. A Test-Negative Design(TND) was used to estimate influenza vaccine effectiveness(VE) against medically- attended laboratory-confirmed influenza in outpatient settings, also calculated the influenza vaccination rate(IVR).

Unlabelled: Central auditory disorders (CSD) - this is a violation of the processing of sound stimuli, including speech, above the cochlear nuclei of the brain stem, which is mainly manifested by difficulties in speech recognition, especially in noisy environments. Children with this pathology are more likely to have behavioral problems, impaired auditory, linguistic and cognitive development, and especially difficulties with learning at school.
Objective: To analyze the literature data on the epidemiology of central auditory disorders in school-age children.

Background/objectives: The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between CRF (cardiorespiratory fitness) and body composition, specifically obesity indicators, in a sample of schoolchildren from the continental and Adriatic regions of the Republic of Croatia. Given that Croatia ranks among the leading countries in Europe in terms of obesity, it is believed that there is a need to combat this condition starting from school age. The usefulness of cardiorespiratory fitness (CRF) lies in the fact that it is one of the indicators of children's overall health and is considered a measure of general health status.

In response, based on three attention networks: alerting, orienting, and executive attention, we examined the development of attention functions at 42 months (not corrected for prematurity) as a follow-up study of VLBW ( = 23) and normal birth weight (NBW: = 48) infants.
Method: The alerting and orienting attention networks were examined through an overlap task with or without warning signal.
