This research examines the early implementation of an evidence-based intervention, adapted from the Coleman Care Transitions Intervention and community-based models, aimed at reducing preventable hospital readmissions among older adults. To better understand program implementation, we conducted and analyzed in-depth interviews on the basis of the Promoting Action on Research Implementation in Health Services conceptual framework. Contextual factors, evidence support for the intervention, and facilitation techniques should be taken into account when implementing transitional care programs.

Acute kidney injury (AKI) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) represent two frequently observed clinical conditions. AKI is characterized by an abrupt decrease in glomerular filtration rate (GFR), generally associated with elevated serum creatinine (sCr), blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and electrolyte imbalances. This condition usually persists for approximately a week, causing a transient reduction in kidney function.

The objective of this narrative review is to provide a systematic framework for veterinarians to investigate dairy calf health, focusing on critical control points and key performance indicators (KPIs) to address morbidity and mortality challenges in preweaned calves. Recommendations target prenatal maternal nutrition, heat stress abatement, and optimal calving management to minimize risks associated with perinatal mortality and preweaning morbidity. Further, comprehensive colostrum management is discussed to ensure excellent transfer of passive immunity, which includes prompt collection and feeding within two hours of birth at a volume of 8.

Introduction: Cervical cancer (CC) is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths among Uganda women, yet rates of CC screening are very low. Training women who have recently screened to engage in advocacy for screening among women in their social network is a network-based strategy for promoting information dissemination and CC screening uptake.
Methods: Drawing on the Exploration, Preparation, Implementation and Sustainment (EPIS) framework for implementation science, this hybrid type 1 randomized controlled trial (RCT) of a peer-led, group advocacy training intervention, Game Changers for Cervical Cancer Prevention (GC-CCP), will examine efficacy for increasing CC screening uptake as well as how it can be implemented and sustained in diverse clinic settings.
