High-grade gliomas are the most frequent primary brain tumors, yet extraneural metastasis is exceedingly rare. This is in part secondary to the relatively poor survival of these patients and likely the shielding effect of the blood-brain barrier. Given the rarity of extraneural metastasis, the pathophysiology and imaging appearance of extraneural metastasis is under-reported and poorly understood.

Pseudolipoblastic perineurioma is a very uncommon variant of extraneural perineurioma, with only a limited number of cases documented in the medical literature. The most remarkable histopathologic characteristic is the existence of vacuolated cells that closely resemble lipoblasts; besides the presence of small, spindle shaped, or epithelioid perineurial cells. In this study, we present another case of pseudolipoblastic perineurioma, predominantly characterized by the presence of vacuolated "pseudolipoblastic" cells.

Introduction: Ependymomas are neuroepithelial neoplasms of the central nervous system that arise from the precursor cells lining the ventricular system and the central canal of the spinal cord. Herein, we report a case of an extremely rare type of ependymoma arising from the thigh. Then, a literature review was performed.

A 14-year-old spayed female Miniature Pinscher presented with tongue curling, dysphagia, hypersalivation, and sublingual gland swelling. Comprehensive evaluation, including neurologic and musculoskeletal examinations, blood work, and urinalysis, revealed no abnormalities other than tongue-related signs. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) revealed a multilobed cystic structure in the occipito-atlanto-axial joint, compressing the right hypoglossal canal.

Background: Using a multi-institutional oncology database, we investigate the survival rates and the impacts of demographic, clinical, and management characteristics on overall survival among adult patients diagnosed with spinal ependymoma.
Methods: Utilizing the SEER registry, patients with histologically or radiologically confirmed ependymomas were included. Factors impacting overall survival were analyzed using Kaplan-Meier survival curves and log-rank statistical analyses.
