Aim: To investigate whether the risk of hypoglycemia is associated with residual β-cell function in adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D).
Methods: This cross-sectional study included 61 subjects with T1D of <15 years' duration using continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Random C-peptide levels were compared between participants with time below range (TBR) ≥3 % (n = 15) and TBR <3 % (n = 45).

This article systematically investigated the improvement effect of polypropylene fiber (PPF) on the mechanical and freeze-thaw properties of alkali-activated fly ash slag concrete (AAFSC) with high fly ash content and cured at room temperature. Fly ash and slag were used as precursors, with fly ash accounting for 80% of the total mass. A mixed solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate was used as alkali activator, and short-cut PPF was added to improve the performance of AAFSC.

Intramedullary nails are the most frequently used devices, although there is no consensus concerning their optimal length. Blood pressure (BP) variability (BPV) is an independent predictor of cardiovascular (CV) events. The role of BPV in defining risk of cancer therapy-related cardiovascular toxicity (CTR-CVT) is currently unknown. The aims of this study were: (i) to evaluate BPV in a population of patients with Multiple Myeloma, undergoing proteasome inhibitors therapy; (ii) to assess the predictive value of BPV for CTR-CVT; (iii) to analyze clusters of subjects based on BPV.
