Context: With the more frequent use of cross sectional imaging, the detection of cystic pancreatic incidentalomas has become a relatively common entity. The commonest cystic incidentalomas are neoplastic. Pseudocysts are the most single common pathological entity. Foregut cystic lesions as a pathological entity are rare but mostly observed in the mediastinum. Ciliated foregut cysts of the pancreas are very rare and an extremely uncommon cause of a cystic lesion within the pancreas.

Case Report: We present herewith an uncommon case of a large cystic lesion, confirmed as a ciliated foregut cyst on final histology arising from the body and tail of the pancreas. The lesion was very effectively treated with a laparoscopic distal pancreatectomy and splenectomy.

Conclusion: The rarity of the lesion makes the case worth reporting.

Benign tumors of the liver and biliary tract are rare entities, and some of them require surgical management to prevent their malignant transformation. Tumors from the biliary tract with malignant potential are treated either by hepatic resection, for mucinous cystic neoplasm and ciliated hepatic foregut cysts, or by biliary resections, for biliary papillary neoplasm and type I and IV choledochal cysts. The pathologies requiring prophylactic cholecystectomy are polyps larger than 10 mm, porcelain gallbladder and pancreaticobiliary maljunction.

Individual organisms can host multiple species of parasites (or symbionts), and one species of parasite can infect different host species, creating complex interactions among multiple hosts and parasites. When multiple parasite species coexist in a host, they may compete or use strategies, such as spatial niche partitioning, to reduce competition. Here, we present a host–symbiont system with two species of (Apicomplexa, Gregarinida) and one species of astome ciliate co-infecting two different species of slime feather duster worms (Annelida, Sabellidae, ) living in neighbouring habitats.

Several morphogenetic sequences occur during esophageal development and birth defects occur due to defects in foregut morphogenesis. This work aimed to record the cellular events in the morphogenesis of rabbits' esophageal epithelium. On the 16th day of gestation, the esophageal epithelium varied from stratified ciliated columnar to stratified squamous type.

A ciliated hepatic foregut cyst (CHFC) is a very uncommon cystic hepatic lesion that arises from an embryonic remnant of the foregut epithelium. CHFC is predominantly asymptomatic and is found incidentally. However, it can show various clinical presentations such as pain and weight loss.
