The beginning of the second century of research in the field of virology (the first virus was discovered in 1898) was marked by its amalgamation with bioinformatics, resulting in the birth of a new domain--viroinformatics. The availability of more than 100 Web servers and databases embracing all or specific viruses (for example, dengue virus, influenza virus, hepatitis virus, human immunodeficiency virus [HIV], hemorrhagic fever virus [HFV], human papillomavirus [HPV], West Nile virus, etc.) as well as distinct applications (comparative/diversity analysis, viral recombination, small interfering RNA [siRNA]/short hairpin RNA [shRNA]/microRNA [miRNA] studies, RNA folding, protein-protein interaction, structural analysis, and phylotyping and genotyping) will definitely aid the development of effective drugs and vaccines. However, information about their access and utility is not available at any single source or on any single platform. Therefore, a compendium of various computational tools and resources dedicated specifically to virology is presented in this article.

Recent Findings: Imaging-driven AI software and clinical prediction tools are two of the more exciting applications of AI for pediatric urologists.

Avian influenza virus (AIV) currently causes a panzootic with extensive mortality in wild birds, poultry, and wild mammals, thus posing a major threat to global health and underscoring the need for efficient monitoring of its distribution and evolution. We here utilized a well-defined AIV strain to systematically investigate AIV genetic characterization through rapid, portable nanopore sequencing by comparing the latest DNA and RNA nanopore sequencing approaches and various computational pipelines for viral consensus sequence generation and phylogenetic analysis. We show that the latest direct RNA nanopore sequencing updates improve consensus sequence generation, but that the application of the latest DNA nanopore chemistry after reverse transcription and amplification outperforms, such native viral RNA sequencing by achieving higher sequencing accuracy and throughput.

Ancient capital culture, red culture, Beijing-style culture, and innovation culture together constitute the capital's cultural system of China and support Beijing's position as the Chinese cultural center. In order to better help the cultural construction of the capital, Beijing, and to find some common and reasonable ways to reconcile the complex urban cultural system, this paper is based on the Weibo data of Beijing in 2019, takes the BERT pre-training model and the newer topic model "BERTopic" as the tools, combines the text content, spatial layout, and sentiment analysis methods, and explores the public perception of four types of capital culture in Beijing. The results reveal that: (1) Although the perception level of Dongcheng, Xicheng, Haidian and Chaoyang core areas is much higher than that of remote areas, the sentiment feedback of remote areas is better than that of the former; (2) A type of culture actively introduces other cultural types or even foreign cultural elements in the system, which helps it form a unique cultural attraction.
