Solitary fibrous tumors (SFTs) are mesenchymal neoplasms associated with the characteristic gene fusion. They frequently occur in extra-thoracic sites and are not uncommon in the head and neck (HN) region. Myxoid SFT is a rare morphological subtype of SFT, the features of which overlap with those of other myxoid-appearing tumors, making the diagnosis challenging.

Mixed invasive mucinous and non-mucinous adenocarcinoma is a rare variant of lung adenocarcinoma. In pure invasive mucinous adenocarcinoma, multilobar and bilateral involvement are common, and extrathoracic metastasis is rare. Here, we report a case of mixed invasive mucinous and non-mucinous adenocarcinoma with distant metastasis to multiple organs without marked enlargement of the primary lung lesion.
