Background/aim: Perianal Paget's disease (PPD) is an intraepithelial invasion of the perianal skin that is frequently associated with anorectal carcinoma. Rectal canal carcinoma with Pagetoid spread (PS) is a relatively rare disease, and few reports on its outcomes are available. The relatively rare nature of this disease makes the development of treatment recommendations difficult.

This study was aimed to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of pembrolizumab with chemotherapy (pembrolizumab combination therapy) and compare it with standard-of-care platinum-based chemotherapy (chemotherapy alone) as a first-line treatment for metastatic nonsquamous NSCLC from the perspective of Taiwan's third-party-payer public health-care system. We used a partitioned survival model with an estimated time horizon of 10 years. The partitioned survival model uses Kaplan-Meier estimates of progression-free and overall survival from the KEYNOTE-189 clinical trial.

Herein, a supramolecular DNA nanodevice was formed via the rolling circle amplification (RCA) and hybridization chain reaction (HCR) cascade reaction on a tetrahedral DNA nanostructure (TDN) to achieve simultaneous sensitive detection and intracellular imaging of dual-miRNAs related to liver cancer. The supramolecular DNA nanodevice effectively addressed the limitations of low probe loading capacity in traditional TDN nanodevices by enriching plenty of signal probes around a single TDN, significantly enhancing the fluorescence signal. Impressively, the supramolecular DNA nanodevice with a TDN fulcrum and dense DNA structure imparted the nanodevice with strong rigidity, ensuring the stability of the signal probes to decrease aggregation quenching for further increasing the fluorescence response.
