Invasive aspergillosis is an extremely rare condition in healthy and immunocompetent individuals, and very few cases have been reported in previously healthy, pregnant, or postpartum women. We describe a case of invasive aspergillosis in a puerperal patient and present literature review results. We present a case of fulminant invasive pulmonary aspergillosis with cerebral, cardiac, and gastric involvement in a young woman, occurring a few days after an elective cesarean section.

Equine piroplasmosis is a tick-borne disease mainly caused by Theileria equi and Babesia caballi. Background: Postpartum haemorrhage (PPH) is the leading cause of maternal mortality worldwide, and effective training in PPH rescue techniques is crucial. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of combining case-based learning (CBL) and problem-based learning (PBL) with simulation teaching methods in improving midwifery trainees' technical proficiency in managing PPH.

Methods: This quasi-experimental study involved 76 trainees who received PPH training at Peking University Third Hospital from March to July 2023.

Bacteriological load in Holstein Friesian cows with dystocia.

The research took place on a farm in North-Eastern Romania with Holstein Friesian cows aged between 3 and 9 years. Bacteriological investigations were carried out throughout the year 2023, on a total of 35 cows, including 25 multiparous cows and 10 primiparous cows, 23 cows had eutocic parturitions and 12 cows had dystocic parturitions, during the first 3 weeks postpartum.
