The objective of this paper is to discuss the possibility of noninvasive optical characterization of a transparent (glass) fiber by means of low-coherent light scattering. It will be shown that, by adjusting the temporal coherence of incident light, it is possible to select these specific orders of scattering, which are related to diffraction. Discussion will be devoted to the direct scattering and the inverse problem, where an inference about the diameter of a multilayered and transparent fiber is accomplished.

Self-healing optically transparent polyimides have potential applications in optoelectronic device fabrication. In this study, for the first time, we successfully prepared a novel self-healing polyimide film containing reversible disulfide bonds through chemical imidization by introducing cystamine as a self-healing functional monomer into the molecular structure of conventional polyimides. The incorporation of cystamine enabled the films to maintain high transmittance (>87%) and tensile strength (>99 MPa).

High-k metal oxides are gradually replacing the traditional SiO dielectric layer in the new generation of electronic devices. In this paper, we report the production of five-element high entropy metal oxides (HEMOs) dielectric films by solution method and analyzed the role of each metal oxide in the system by characterizing the film properties. On this basis, we found optimal combination of (AlGaTiYZr)O with the best dielectric properties, exhibiting a low leakage current of 1.

Background: 2022 survey data showed 29% of Veterans utilized Veterans Affairs (VA) paid health care at a non-VA facility, 6% higher than in 2021. Despite an increase in the number of Veterans accessing care in the community via the MISSION Act Community Care Program (CCP), there is limited information on the quality of mental health care delivered to Veterans in these settings. Further, Veterans report barriers to quality care, including poor communication between CCP and VA providers, which can result in negative patient outcomes.
