We derive expressions for the far-zone correlation of intensity fluctuations (the Hanbury Brown-Twiss effect) that occurs in electromagnetic beams that are generated by quasi-homogeneous sources. Such sources often have a radiant intensity pattern that is rotationally symmetric, irrespective of the source shape. We demonstrate how from the far-zone correlation of intensity fluctuations the spectral density distribution across the source plane may be reconstructed.

Context: This study systematically investigated the effects of single S-atom vacancy defects and composite defects (vacancy combined with doping) on the properties of MoS using density functional theory. The results revealed that N-doped S-vacancy MoS has the smallest composite defect formation energy, indicating its highest stability. Doping maintained the direct band gap characteristic, with shifts in the valence band top.

In recent years, there has been a surge in the production of kombucha-a functional beverage obtained via microbial fermentation of tea. However, fresh, unpasteurized kombucha is sensitive to quality deterioration as a result of, among other factors, oxidation. The addition of hops seems to be promising, due to their antioxidative properties, which may improve the stability of kombucha.

We hypothesize that the high gamma oscillations driven by L6CT neuron activation are shaped by the dynamic engagement of intracortical and cortico-thalamo-cortical circuits. To test this, we optogenetically activated L6CT neurons in NTSR1-cre mice expressing channelrhodopsin-2 in L6CT neurons.

Purpose: To investigate whether functional radiomic features in bilateral hippocampi can identify the cognitively impaired patients from low-back-related leg pain (LBLP).
Patients And Methods: For this retrospective study, a total of 95 clinically definite LBLP patients (40 cognitively impaired patients and 45 cognitively preserved patients) were included, and all patients underwent functional MRI and clinical assessments. After calculating the amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (ALFF), regional homogeneity (ReHo), voxel-mirrored homotopic connectivity (VMHC) and degree centrality (DC) imaging, the radiomic features (n = 819) of bilateral hippocampi were extracted from these images, respectively.
