We present a unique experience of urgent parent arterial embolization for treatment of an aneurysm of the inferior thyroid artery (ITA) that bled during tracheostomy. The event happened to a 69-year-old female patient with subarachnoid hemorrhage and hospital-acquired pneumonia that required tracheostomy. Abrupt and massive bleeding developed during the procedure, and the source could not be identified. Under manual compression, angiography revealed an 8-mm aneurysm that arose from the inferior thyroid artery. The superselected parent artery of the aneurysm was successfully occluded with a single pushable coil. The patient's postoperative course was uneventful.

Parathyroid adenoma is a common endocrine disorder, but its intrathyroid presentation is relatively rare. The traditional approach, such as thyroid blind lobectomy, is the most frequent modality of treatment due to the possible unclear localization of the adenoma in the preoperative workup. This increases the risk of unnecessary probability of hypothyroidism.

Extraocular muscle (EOM) enlargement occurs in both acromegaly and Graves' disease, but the degree and pattern of enlargement have not been directly compared in these patient groups. This study investigated whether acromegaly and Graves' orbitopathy (GO) are associated with different patterns of EOM enlargement at the time of diagnosis. Retrospective cohort.

Background: Recent advancements in novel anti-human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) have highlighted the emerging HER2-low breast cancer subtype with promising therapeutic efficacy. This study aimed to comparatively analyze the metabolic characteristics and prognostic stratification of HER2-low and HER2-zero breast cancer using baseline fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-FDG) positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) imaging.
Methods: Consecutive patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer who underwent F-FDG PET/CT prior to therapy in our hospital were retrospectively reviewed.

A 62-year-old man was referred to our hospital presenting with a sore throat, dyspnea, and cervical swelling. Initial precontrast CT scans revealed a cervical and mediastinal hematoma, along with a hemothorax. Further dynamic contrast-enhanced CT scans indicated contrast media extravasation dorsal to the right thyroid gland lobe, suggesting a rupture of the right inferior thyroid artery or a parathyroid adenoma.

Hoarseness due to recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) injury is the most feared complication of thyroid surgery. Scars and anatomical changes caused by previous surgeries make finding the RLN during redo thyroid surgeries difficult. We aimed to analyze the results of the inferior-to-superior dissection technique that we applied to find the RLN in redo surgeries.
