A high-performance novel photodetector is demonstrated, which consists of graphene and CH3 NH3 PbI3 perovskite layers. The resulting hybrid photodetector exhibits a dramatically enhanced photo responsivity (180 A/W) and effective quantum efficiency (5× 10(4) %) over a broad bandwidth within the UV and visible ranges.

Optoelectronic devices combining single-layer graphene (SLG) and colloidal semiconducting nanocrystal (NC) heterojunctions have recently gained significant attention as efficient hybrid photodetectors. While most research has concentrated on systems using heavy metal-based semiconductor NCs, there is a need for further exploration of environmentally friendly nanomaterials, such as CuS. Chemical ligands play a crucial role in these hybrid photodetectors, as they enable charge transfer between the NCs and SLG.

2D hybrid perovskites have attracted great interest due to their promising potential in photodetectors. The phase structure, dielectric, and excitonic properties in 2D perovskites play a pivotal role in the performance of the corresponding optoelectronic device. Here a lattice anchoring method is demonstrated to boost carrier mobility in 2D perovskites by tailoring large organic spacer cation layers.

Unipolar barrier architecture is designed to enhance the photodetector's sensitivity by inducing highly asymmetrical barriers, a higher barrier for blocking majority carriers to depressing dark current, and a low minority carrier barrier without impeding the photocurrent flow through the channel. Depressed dark current without block photocurrent is highly desired for uncooled Long-wave infrared (LWIR) photodetection, which can enhance the sensitivity of the photodetector. Here, an excellent unipolar barrier photodetector based on multi-layer (ML) graphene (G) is developed, WSe, and PtSe (G-WSe-PtSe) van der Waals (vdW) heterostructure, in which extremely low dark current of 1.

Low-dimensional hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites (HOIPs) containing chiral organic ligands have recently emerged as promising candidates for circularly polarized light (CPL) detection, which can distinguish left- and right-handed CPL directly. However, the increase in responsivity and realization of self-powered CPL photodetector remain a challenge. Meanwhile, there is a trade-off between the photocurrent responsivity and the ability to differentially absorb CPL in detectors based on these low-dimensional perovskites.

Although MoSe-based photodetectors have achieved excellent performance, the ultrafast photoresponse has limited their application as an optoelectronic synapse. In this paper, the enhancement of the rhodamine 6G molecule on the memory time of MoSe is reported. It is found that the memory time of monolayer MoSe can be obviously enhanced after assembly with rhodamine 6G exhibiting synaptic characteristics in comparison to pristine MoSe.
