An 83-year-old male with a history of radial keratotomy and laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) presented with symptoms of a non-resolving corneal ulcer in the right eye that had been present for five months. The patient was treated with antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal medications over that period, with multiple recurrences that prompted referral to our tertiary center for management. Following a 48-hour cessation of all medications, a corneal biopsy was performed which grew .

We developed an AI system capable of automatically classifying anterior eye images as either normal or indicative of corneal diseases. This study aims to investigate the influence of AI's misleading guidance on ophthalmologists' responses. This cross-sectional study included 30 cases each of infectious and immunological keratitis.

Background: Diseases in humans caused by amphizoic amoebae that can result in visual impairment and even blindness, have recently been identified more frequently worldwide. Etiologically complex incidents of keratitis, including those connected with strains detected in Poland, were evaluated in this study.
Methods: Corneal samples from cases resistant to antimicrobial therapy assessed for epidemiological, microbiological and parasitological aspects were investigated by phase-contrast microscope, slit lamp and by confocal microscopy.

: This study evaluates the effectiveness of therapeutic keratoplasty for fungal keratitis and explores the diagnosis and management challenges of this infectious corneal disease. We retrospectively analyzed therapeutic keratoplasty cases at a tertiary hospital for keratitis when standard treatments failed. : Five cases of keratitis, unresponsive to typical antifungal treatments, required keratoplasty due to fast progression and diagnostic difficulties.
