In the title compound, C19H20ClN3O4S, the benzene ring is inclined to the indazole ring system (r.m.s. deviation = 0.014 Å) by 65.07 (8)°. The allyl and eth-oxy groups are almost normal to the indazole ring, as indicated by the respective torsion angles [N-N-C-C = 111.6 (2) and C-C-O-C = -88.1 (2)°]. In the crystal, mol-ecules are connected by N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds, forming helical chains propagating along [010]. The chains are linked by C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a three-dimensional network.

4-Hydroxyphenylpyruvate dioxygenase (HPPD) is a crucial herbicide target in current research, playing an important role in the comprehensive management of resistant weeds. However, the limited crop selectivity and less effectiveness against grass weeds of many existing HPPD inhibitors, limit their further application. To address these issues, a series of novel HPPD inhibitors with fused ring structures were designed and synthesized by introducing an electron-rich indazolone ring and combining it with the classical triketone pharmacophore structure.

Background: Although the in silico predictive ability of the Ames test results has recently made remarkable progress, there are still some chemical classes for which the predictive ability is not yet sufficient due to a lack of Ames test data. These classes include simple heterocyclic compounds. This study aimed to investigate the mutagenicity and structure-mutagenicity relationships for some heterocycles in the Ames test.

Chagas disease is a prevalent health problem in Latin America which has received insufficient attention worldwide. Current treatments for this disease, benznidazole and nifurtimox, have limited efficacy and may cause side effects. A recent study proposed investigating a wide range of nitroindazole and indazolone derivatives as feasible treatments.

A unified method toward the synthesis of functionalized diazepines and quinazolines through reorganization of the molecular skeleton has been devised. The process is indulged by electrical energy via a domino N-N bond cleavage followed by concomitant ring closing, initiating from cinnolines and indazoles as designed precursors. Additionally, an intermolecular ring homologation has also been established to synthesize densely functionalized dihydroquinazolines from 2,3-diaryl-indazoles and acetonitrile involving the same electrochemical strategy.

Administration of negative allosteric modulators of GluN2B subunit-containing NMDA receptors such as Ro 25-6981 () and ifenprodil () results in neuroprotective effects. In this study, the phenol of and was replaced bioisosterically by an indazole to inhibit glucuronidation. The γ- and β-aminoalcohols and were prepared without installing a protective group at the indazole ring using the ketone as a common intermediate.
