LbL-assembled tubes were employed for micro/nanoscale cargo transportation through the kinesin-microtubule system. Selectively modified with kinesins onto the inner tube walls through Ni-NTA complexes, these tubes can work as channels for microtubules. A motility assay shows the smooth movement of microtubules along the tube inner wall powered by the inside immobilized kinesins. It could be envisioned that cargoes with different sizes can be transported through these tubular channels with little outside interruption.

Objectives: To establish the determinants of death in hospital for patients with moderate to severe traumatic brain injury (TBI) in Australia.
Design, Setting, Participants: Retrospective analysis of Australia New Zealand Trauma Registry (ANZTR) data. Cases were included if they presented to a participating hospital between 1 July 2015 and 30 June 2020 and had an Abbreviated Injury Severity (AIS) score - head greater than 2.
We use our tongue much like our hands: to interact with objects and transport them. Bacterial conjugation is the unidirectional transfer of DNA (often plasmids, but also other mobile genetic elements, or even entire genomes), from a donor cell to a recipient cell. In Gram-negative bacteria, it requires the formation of three complexes in the donor cell: i-a large, double-membrane-embedded transport machinery called the Type IV Secretion System (T4SS), ii-a long extracellular tube, the conjugative pilus, and iii-a DNA-processing machinery termed the relaxosome. While knowledge has expanded regarding molecular events in the donor cell, very little is known about the machinery involved in DNA transfer into the recipient cell.
