Active Learning (AL) represents a transformative instructional approach that departs from traditional methods by immersing students in experiential learning activities such as problem-solving, discussions, role-plays, interactive engagement, and case studies. Despite its widely recognized potential, the effects of AL on psycho-affective constructs in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) contexts remain underexplored. Hence, this study explored the impact of AL on EFL learners' motivation, attitudes, and anxiety in Iran.

This study proposed that smokers' perceived cancer risks differ emotionally and cognitively; the former is based on perceived smoking-related causes, while the latter is based more on perceived non-smoking related causes. It further examined the role of perceived reasons for cancer risk, as well as perceived risks, in planning smoking cessation. The study drew a sample of daily smokers, intermittent smokers and previous smokers (as a reference category) from the Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS).

This exploratory study examines the effects of a single, brief (3-h) Chamber Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy (REST) session on emotional experience, state mindfulness, and physiological regulation in young adults. Previous research has shown preliminary evidence, that REST offers a range of benefits in managing stress and mental well-being. We focused on young adult population, a group particularly vulnerable to stress, digital dependence and immersion, who often lack time for self-reflection and contemplative activities, while navigating numerous distractions.

Background: Most previous studies have focused on the clinical efficacy after intervention of ESDM, particularly in core symptoms. However, only a few have paid attention to the effectiveness of ESDM on emotional dysregulation and behavior problems in children with ASD.
